1. Who We Are

KillerClip is operated by KILLTECH (Audio Tech Hub x Killshot Enterprises). We provide an AI-powered video clipping platform at killerclip.ai that helps content creators transform long-form video into short-form clips optimized for social media distribution.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and a salted-bcrypt hash of your password. We never store your raw password. If you sign in via Google, TikTok, or Discord OAuth (when enabled), we receive your display name, email, and profile picture from the respective provider.

Payment Information: Billing is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details. Stripe provides us with a customer identifier and subscription status.

Video Content: When you submit a video URL or upload a file, we process it to generate clips. Uploaded videos and generated clips are stored temporarily on Cloudflare R2 (cloud storage) and are automatically deleted based on your plan's retention period.

Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage metrics including pages visited, features used, clip generation counts, and session duration to improve our service. This data is stored in our Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database.

Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication (JWT session tokens). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the KillerClip platform
• To process your video clips and deliver results
• To manage your account, credits, and subscription billing
• To communicate service updates, security alerts, and support responses
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access
• To generate aggregate, anonymized analytics about platform usage

4. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management
• Cloudflare R2 — Cloud storage for video files and generated clips
• Supabase — PostgreSQL database hosting (account data, sessions, billing records)
• Railway — Application hosting and infrastructure
• Resend — Transactional email (account verification, password resets) — processes your email address only
• Google (Gemini) — AI content analysis. Only the transcript text and timing metadata are sent — never your video content directly.
• Groq — AI transcription via the Whisper API. Audio is sent to Groq for transcription and not retained.
• YouTube — When you submit a YouTube URL, we use YouTube's public APIs to fetch metadata and (if you authorize) the video itself.
• TikTok — Optional social publishing (currently disabled pending official API approval; requires explicit authorization when re-enabled).

We only share the minimum data necessary for each integration to function. We never sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secured infrastructure provided by Railway (application hosting), Supabase (database), and Cloudflare (file storage). All data is encrypted in transit via TLS/HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. JWT tokens are signed with a server-side secret.

Video content is processed on our servers and stored according to your plan's retention period. You may delete your clips at any time from your dashboard.

6. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
• Video files & clips: Retained per plan (3 days for Free, 30 days for paid plans), then automatically deleted
• Usage logs: Retained according to our data retention settings, typically 7–90 days
• Payment records: Retained as required by financial regulations (typically 7 years)

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to:

• Access your personal data and receive a copy
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of non-essential data collection
• Withdraw consent for optional integrations at any time

8. Children's Privacy

KillerClip is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our platform. Continued use of KillerClip after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
